Elite A emerged winner of the under-15 boys’ 40-over a side league cricket tournament which was organised by Elite Cricket Club in association with Vriddhi Sports Foundation at Col. R N Chopra Cricket Academy ground, here today.
In the final, Elite A defeated Siddhant Cricket Academy by five wickets. Ealier, batting first, Siddhant Academy set a target of 167 runs losing all their wickets in 30-4 overs. Achintya Khajuria remained top scorer with 42 runs while Swayam and Tejas contributed 19 and 18 runs respectively. From Elite A, Tegvansh Singh claimed five wickets for 43 runs in seven overs he bowled while Mannat Bedi claimed two.
In reply, Elite-A made 172 runs in 32.2 overs with five wickets intact. Shavac Makin played match winning innings of unbeaten 91.
Ashutosh Mahajan contributed 31. From Siddhant Academy, Siddhant Achintya nd Bishmadh took one wicket each.
Shavac Makin shared the man of the match title with Tegvansh Singh. Shavac was also named as man of the series.
The best bowler trophy went to Tegvansh Singh and Shavac Makin declared best batsman. Abhijay Mehta was adjudged best fielder.
In total, four teams took part in this competition on league basis.
Other two participating teams were Elite B and Game Chanders Cricket Club.
The matches officiated by the technical penal including Deepak Singh Bhau and Tarun Chib as umpires while Sujit Kumar was scorer under the overall supervision of Sukomal Ganguly.
