JAMMU, Oct 21:
Government MAM College won the inter-college men’s Football Tournament held among three teams of the Cluster University of Jammu (CUJ) at GGM Science College ground, here today.
In the final, MAM College defeated the considered to be better side of Government SPMR College of Commerce 2-0. Both the goals were netted by the star striker, Bhanu Partap, who made all the difference for MAM College striking in the 19th and 42nd minutes of the game.
Bhanu was later named man of the match for guiding his side to victory. Bhanu was encouraged by chief guest, Registrar CUJ, Dr Jatinder Khajuria, who was accompanied guest of honour by Dean Students Welfare, CUJ, Dr Twinkle Suri.
Principal, Government GGM Science College, Dr Satinder Singh, Principal Government MAM College, Prof Romesh Chander, Physical Directors, Malik Aizaz, Sumnesh Sharma and Mandeep Sharma.
The final officiated by the technical penal including Gagan Kumar (chief referee), Dheeraj, Amit, Dileshwar Sharma and Rahul Kumar.
