The Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation Sh Chander Mohan Gupta today toured various areas of Jammu city along with XEN (Central), Health Officer, XEN (UEED), Chief Transport Officer, Municipal Veterinary Officer & other filed staff of JMC. The area visited were upper Shiv nagar, Lower Shiv nagar, Rajpura Mangotrian etc. The mayor also met with the residents of these localities & listened to their grievances raised by them regarding, construction /renovation of drains/lanes, improvement of sanitation, non functioning of street lights, renovation of parks, menace of stray dogs/animals. Mayor directed the concerned officers on spot to resolve the grievances of people at an earliest and asked the residents to cooperate with Municipal staff and do not throw their house hold garbage on the public land/drains in the open area and in the parks which further worsened the sanitation conditions.
Mayor also appeal to the shopkeepers of the areas not to display their belongings outside their shops to avoid traffic congestion and make the Jammu city neat, clean & green.
