Mayor Starts Development works in Jammu city

Continuing its drive to carry on further development activities in various parts of Jammu city, Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta Hon’ble Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 28/05/2019 toured in the areas of Bahu fort, Kalika colony and other localities of Ward No.48 and took stock of various development works being under taken in the ward. Sh. Vikram Randhawa, Hon’ble MLC, Sh. Sham Lal Hon’ble Councilor of Ward No.48, Sh. Mohd Taj Choudhary Executive Engineer (UEED), Sh. Anil Gupta Asstt. Executive Engineer, JMC and other staff of engineering wing of JMC & UEED were also present during the tour. Residents as well concerned Councilor put forth their various demands before the Hon’ble Mayor which includes completion of left over Nallah flowing through Kalika Colony which is being constructed by UEED well before rainy season and its proper desilting in order to avoid any loss of property & human life as it creates havoc in rainy season, Installation of more street lights enroute of Sh. Bahu Fort Temple as large number of pilgrims visit the temple at early morning & night hours in this summer season. Hon’ble Mayor directed the XEN (UEED) to expedite the remaining construction work of the Kalika Colony Nallah on war footing in order to redress the long pending grievances of the inhabitants.
Hon’ble Mayor also in presence of Sh Vikram Randhawa Hon’ble MLC , Sh Baldev Singh Billoria , Hon’ble Chairman Health and sanitation committee , Sh. Raj Kumar , Hon’ble councilor of ward no.51, Smt Neena Gupta Hon’ble councilor of ward no.50, Sh Dinesh Gupta Hon,ble councilor of ward no.18 also inaugurated the sulabh Soachalaya under swacch Bharat Mission near Shankar market Channi himmat Jammu . Sh Arun gupta XEN JMC, Sh Anil gupta AEE , JMC & representatives from sulabh international were also present during the inauguration programme . He also laid foundation stone of another sulabh sochalaya in the parking area of shivalya temple at Panjbaktar road of ward n o.15 on the demands of general public & shopkeepers of that area. Sh Baldev Singh Billoria , Hon’ble Chairman of Health & Sanitation committee , Smt. Sandhaya Gupta Councilor of ward no.15 , Sh Dinesh Gupta Councilor of ward no.18, engineering wing of JMC & Sulabh International representatives were also present in the function.
He also appeal to the residents as well as shopkeepers not to throw polythene carry bags, garbage, filth etc in the public lanes, drains & nallah flowing through their locality and cooperate with the Jammu Municipal Corporation in making Jammu City neat, clean & green.
