A free medical camp was organized by 12 Bn BSF at Border village Galwade Chak in district Jammu under Civic Action Programme. Shri Rakesh Negi, Dy Inspector General, SHQ BSF Sunderbani inaugurated the medical camp in the presence of Shri Dilbag Singh, Commandant, 12 Bn BSF. A team of Doctors specialized in various stream carried out medical check-up of local villagers. During medical camp, Tri-cycle, hearing aid, walker, spectacle and free medicines were distributed among the border population.
A large numbers of border population including elderly people, divyang and kids attended the free medical camp and got benefited by this programme.
Shri Rakesh Negi, DIG SHQ BSF Sunderbani reiterated that BSF is fully committed for assistance of border population. About 200 civilians were benefited by the medical camp and appreciated it. Shri Surinder Singh, VDC Chairman, Sarpanch Galwade Chak and other people from border area have also appreciated the good work done by BSF and also requested to continue such medical camps in future also.
