The students of MIER College of Educationbrought laurels to themselves and the institution in the recently concluded Annual Cultural and Literary Festival, Resurgence: 2018 organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
More than 20 students from all departments of MIER College of education participated in the fest. A scintillating Rajasthani folk dance performance on the theme “Ghoomer” by the students of M.Ed and B.Ed clinched the first position in the competition. The students also got first prize in Nukkard Natak on the theme “Nari Abhisaap Nahi Vardhan Hai” which was directed by Prof. Reeta Jitendra and her associates. Further, Ms. Padma, B.Ed student, bagged second prize in the solo dance competition.
Dr. Arun Gupta, Chairperson, and Dr. Renu Gupta, Vice Chairperson, MIER group of institutions congratulated the participants on their laudable achievements and encouraged them to actively participate in future also both at the state and national levels. Dr. Adit Gupta, Principal MIER College of Education appreciated the efforts of the members of the Co-curricular Committee and Cultural Committee who worked hard to prepare students for different events and achieve success in the cultural festival at SMVDU.
