MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta, visited Ward No. 27 today to inspect the ongoing sewerage line works, estimated at Rs 34 crore, aimed at resolving long-standing sanitation issues in the area.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of Kushant Dafara, Mandal President Rehari Bakshi Nagar, along with Atul Bakshi, Happy Sonu, Booth President, Karyakartas, and senior BJP leaders from Jammu West.
During the visit, MLA Gupta emphasized the importance of upgrading sewage infrastructure to improve public health and the quality of life for residents.
“This sewerage line project will directly benefit the people of Ward No. 27 and adjoining Ward No. 13, addressing a problem that has been affecting families for years. Our commitment is to ensure that every citizen has access to proper sanitation facilities,” he said.
Residents of the ward have long faced challenges due to outdated and insufficient sewerage systems, leading to waterlogging, unhygienic conditions, and inconvenience in daily life.
MLA Gupta assured that the project would be executed with transparency and efficiency to provide lasting relief.
The Rs 34 crore initiative is part of broader efforts by the Jammu administration to strengthen urban infrastructure and modernize civic amenities.
The project includes laying of new sewer lines, upgrading existing pipelines, and ensuring proper drainage systems to prevent future blockages.
