MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta on Wednesday inaugurated the blacktopping work of Revenue Complex Road at Bhagwati Nagar in Ward No. 31, which will be carried out at an estimated cost of Rs 76 lakh. The project aims to improve road connectivity and provide better infrastructure for residents of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said that strengthening road infrastructure is one of the key priorities to ensure smooth transportation and improved living standards for the public. He stated that the blacktopping of the road will benefit a large number of residents and commuters who use the route daily.
“Development of basic infrastructure such as roads is essential for the overall progress of any locality. Our aim is to ensure that every ward in Jammu West receives the necessary attention and development works are carried out in a timely manner,” said Gupta.
He further assured the residents that the Jammu administration and local representatives are committed to addressing public issues and carrying out development works that directly benefit the people. Gupta said that several other projects related to road improvement, drainage, and civic amenities are also being planned in the constituency.
The MLA also urged the executing agencies to ensure quality work and complete the project within the stipulated time frame so that residents can start benefiting from the improved road conditions at the earliest.
Local residents welcomed the initiative and expressed satisfaction over the start of the project, stating that the road had been in poor condition for a long time and its repair would greatly improve connectivity in the area.
Among others present on the occasion were former Corporator Sucha Singh, Mandal General Secretary Arun Dubey, Anil, and Sarpanch Pritpal, along with several local residents and party workers who appreciated the initiative taken for the development of the area.
