Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta, today visited Guru Ravi Dass Mandir in Ward No. 12, Krishna Nagar, to inspect and review the ongoing preparations for the grand celebration of Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti, scheduled for February 12, 2025. The visit aimed to ensure that all necessary arrangements, including sanitation, lighting, and infrastructure, are in place for the smooth conduct of the religious event.
During the inspection, MLA Gupta interacted with temple committee members and local residents, assuring them of full support from the administration in organizing the celebrations with grandeur and devotion. He emphasized the BJP’s commitment to upholding the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.
Accompanying him on the visit were key officials and BJP leaders, including Mandal President Anil Angral, Former Corporator Jeet Angral, Executive Engineer PWD (JMC Division) Lokesh Gupta, JMC Health Officer Dr. Vinod Sharma, Xen UEED Vijay Manhas, and Xen JMC Electrical Department S.P. Singh.
Prominent local karyakartas and residents, including Surjeet Singh Chib, Kundan Lal Gupta, and Smt. Jatinder Kour, were also present, reiterating their dedication to making the occasion a grand success.
MLA Arvind Gupta directed the concerned departments to expedite the required arrangements and ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the celebrations. He urged officials to prioritize cleanliness, road maintenance, lighting arrangements, and other infrastructural needs in and around the temple premises.
Highlighting the significance of Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti, MLA Gupta stated that the teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji on equality, harmony, and social justice remain ever-relevant in today’s society. He appealed to the people to participate in large numbers and uphold the message of peace and brotherhood.
