MLA Bani, Dr Rameshwar Singh along with members of the Sant Samaj, today met with the Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rakesh Minhas, IAS, and discussed several key initiatives aimed at promoting religious tourism and the upliftment of Bani. The meeting, held at the DC’s office, focused on enhancing the religious and cultural significance of the region, with the aim of attracting pilgrims and boosting local development.
During the meeting, MLA Bani presented a proposal for the development of the Chamba to Cheenani road, envisioning it as a significant route connecting two important spiritual sites. The road will be named in honor of the concept “From the House of Mahadev Manimahesh to the House of Mata Parvati,” symbolizing the sacred link between these divine places in Hinduism. This initiative aims to improve accessibility for devotees and tourists visiting these revered locations, enhancing the overall pilgrimage experience.
In addition, the MLA and Sant Samaj discussed the commencement of the Hari Prayag Mela in Bani, a festival with deep roots in Hindu tradition. The Mela will not only celebrate the religious heritage of the region but also offer a platform for social and cultural exchanges. This event will be an important step in preserving and promoting the religious customs and values of the local community.
Furthermore, the Sant Samaj assured their support for the organization of a Ram Katha in Bani, which will serve as an opportunity for spiritual enrichment and promote unity among the people. The event will focus on disseminating the teachings and values of Lord Rama, fostering religious harmony and devotion.
The MLA Bani emphasized the importance of these initiatives in preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage of Bani while also improving local infrastructure and tourism opportunities.
