MLA Jammu East and party chief whip Rajesh Gupta distributed free gas cylinders to the SC & ST samaj under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yogna at Kanji House in Ward No 7.
Free gas cylinders under the Ujjwala Yogna were distributed amongst fifty members of the SC & ST candidates and the agency from which the cylinders were given is Sachdeva brothers.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yogna is a landmark scheme launched by the Modi government. Under the scheme the deprived sections of the society who up til now were unable to use the pollution free medium of cooking would be provided free gas cylinders to cook their meals.Rajesh Gupta said that by this scheme cores of our mothers and sisters would be freed from the difficult and pollution causing mediums of cooking and this in turn would also save them from the ill effects of smoke and harmful particles emanating from the burning of wood, cow dung or kerosene oil.
The BJP leaders who accompanied the MLA included Gopal Gupta, Adv.Vageesh Bharti,Ramesh Sharma, Subhash Sanghra, Rajesh Gupta, Surinder Anand, Praveen Arora,Vidya Devi,Sangeeta Anand, Anita Gupta, Jyoti Gupta, Swaran Arora,Kuldeep Kandhari, Raj Kumar, Rajinder Gupta, Chaman Lal, Rajesh Nischal and Viney Gupta.
The prominents who accompanied the MLA included Subhash Sanghra, Charanjeet, Shivam, Balbir Singh,Sanjay Manjotra, Santosh, Rampaul and Jagjeevan.
