The Deputy Comm issioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired a meeting with concerned officers to discuss the modalities for vaccination of people between 18-45 age category in the district.
At the outset, the DC said that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to accelerate the vaccination of people between 18-45 age category in a focused and targeted manner.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held upon the data collection exercise, categorization of high-risk and vulnerable groups, establishment of vaccination centers and other related arrangements.
The DC informed that for the 18-45 age group, the higher risk and vulnerable groups have been identified which include shopkeepers/dhabawallas, hotel waiters and staff, services sector, people engaged in door-to-door work including barbers, repairmen, drivers/conductors, lawyers, journalists, faculty /staff /workers of the universities/colleges, Government employees on COVID duty, construction workers registered with Labour Department, tourism sector workers, people with disabilities, widows/single mothers, orphans and persons with comorbid conditions.
Regarding collection of related data, the DC directed all the officers to conduct surveys wherever necessary to ensure coverage of data of target groups like their name, Aadhar and contact number within the time frame.
EO Municipal Council Ganderbal and Tehsildars were directed to collect data in their respective jurisdictions as per the format besides Tehsildar Kangan was asked to also collect the data of service providers during Shri Amarnath Yatra.
Similarly, ARTO Ganderbal was asked to collect the data of Drivers and conductors and Dy. CEO was asked to collect the data of teachers, lecturers and other staff of schools and universities in the district.
The District Social Welfare Officer was directed to collect data of persons with Disability, widows and orphans and DIO was asked to share data of all journalists working in the district.
Furthermore, heads of other departments were also asked to share the data of their employees who are on Covid duty under the 18-45 age group.
Additional District Development Com missioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dy.SP HQ, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineers of various wings, ARO, EO Municipality, Dy. CMO, Dy. CEO, Tehsildars, BDOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
