Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER held the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2019-20 during a special assembly, wherein the young talents of the school were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with commitment, confidence and competence.The spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as the grand ceremony commenced with soulful rendition of the school prayerfollowed by March past by the Students’ Council spreading the belief that together as a team we can reach for the stars.
The solemn ceremony was graced by Dr. Adit Gupta, Director and Mrs Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER. They were accompanied by Mr. P.K. Srivastava, Principal, Mr. J.K. Dhiman, Vice-Principal, Mrs.Manjari Sehgal, Mrs. Chanda Mahajan, Manager Academics, Mrs. Manju Vali, Convener Co-Curricular Committee and Mrs. Usha Chunni, Convener Sports.
The Prefectural Board comprised of the Head Boy and Head Girl, Vice- Head Boy and Vice Head Girl, Sports Captains, Presidents, Vice- Presidents and Captains and Vice-Captains of various Houses. The Board also comprised of prefects of different Clubs.
The newly elected student council members were adorned with sashes and badges by the Chief Guestand the Principal administered the Oath to the council members with a promise that they would discharge their duties with integrity and faith. The Council pledged to fulfil their duty with dignity and utmost sincerity and uphold the school motto of ‘Shrestha’ in high esteem.
Dr. Adit Gupta in his address motivated the students to become more focussed in their goals and encouraged them to always walk on the correct path and be the change as they have been bestowed with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.
The programme was conducted by Ms. Hansika of class 12th and she thanked the Principal and the School Management for their kind support in every aspect. With the flags held high and heads standing tall, the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
