Jammu and Kashmir BJP president, Sat Sharma (CA), while addressing an organizational meeting at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, said that from 2014 onwards, Modi government launched numerous schemes during all these years, for the socio-economic upliftment of every section of the society. These initiatives address the needs of diverse sections of society, from rural farmers to urban entrepreneurs, women, youth, and the underprivileged. Not only welfare schemes but even development projects too have been initiated in every region without any discrimination.
Sat Sharma said that the party activists, while carrying on their social and organizational activities in their areas, should also focus on educating the people about various welfare measures undertaken by Narendra Modi government and included every section in its programmes and policies.
He said that scheme like PM-KISAN provides direct income support to farmers, while the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) ensures crop insurance. The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana enhances rural connectivity, creating opportunities for better livelihoods and market access. Jan Dhan Yojana ensures financial inclusion by providing banking services to millions of citizens.
The Ayushman Bharat scheme offers health coverage to economically weaker sections, while PM Ujjwala Yojana provides LPG connections to households, enhancing their quality of life.
Sat further said that women-centric programs such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao promote education and gender equality. Initiatives like Skill India and Digital India equip youth with skills and technology for a competitive edge.
Ashok Koul, general secretary (organization), while seeking details related to the progress of ongoing membership drive from morchas and cells, said that the Modi government’s schemes aim to create a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) by bridging socio-economic gaps, and empowering citizens across all sectors, while adding that these efforts reflect a commitment to building a prosperous, equitable, and progressive nation.
