World saw consequences when ‘Sindoor’ becomes ‘barood’: PM

Bikaner, May 22 :

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that it took only 22 minutes for India to destroy nine terror hideouts and this was his government’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Speaking about Operation Sindoor at a gathering here, PM Modi said, “This is not just agony, this is an aggressive stand of new India. First, we had entered your house and attacked, now we have directly attacked your chest. This is a policy to curb terrorism, this is new India.”
Outlining the three key principles established through Operation Sindoor in India’s fight against terrorism, the Prime Minister stated the first principle – any terrorist attack on India would be met with a decisive response, with the timing, method, and terms determined solely by India’s armed forces.
He also asserted that India would not be intimidated by nuclear threats. He also emphasised that India would no longer differentiate between terrorist masterminds and the governments that support them, rejecting Pakistan’s distinction between state and non-state actors.
“You would have seen, we have deputed delegations from the country across the world, to expose Pakistan. There are MPs cutting across party lines in it. Pakistan’s real face will be shown to the world. Pakistan can never win a direct war with India. Whenever, a direct war happens, Pakistan has lot and so it has been using terrorism as a weapon.
“Since independence, for the several decades, it was happening. Pakistan used to create an atmosphere of fear. But Pakistan forgot one thing, now a servant of Mother India, Modi, is standing upright. Modi’s mind is cool, it remains cool, but his blood is hot. And now in Modi’s veins, not blood, but hot Sindoor is running,” he said.
PM Modi added, “When Sindoor becomes an explosive, the result is for everyone to see. Our government gave a free hand to all three armed forces and together they created such a trap that Pakistan was forced to go down on its knees.”
“In response to attack on April 22, we destroyed nine biggest terror hideouts in 22 minutes. Those out to wipe out ‘Sindoor’ were reduced to dust,” added the Prime Minister.
Modi also recalled his statement in Churu, reaffirming his commitment to the nation: “Swear by this soil, I will not let the country fall, I will not let the country bow.” He declared from Rajasthan that those who spilled India’s blood have now paid the price in full.
The Prime Minister stated that those who assumed India would remain silent are now in hiding, while those who boasted about their weapons now lie buried beneath rubble.
He declared that Pakistan had underestimated India’s resolve, stating that under his leadership, the nation stands strong and unwavering. “Any terrorist attack on India would result in severe

consequences, with Pakistan paying a heavy price—borne by its military and its economy”, he said.
He highlighted that across the border, Pakistan’s Rahim Yar Khan Airbase has been forced to shut down for several days due to India’s precise military strikes, which severely impacted its operations. The Prime Minister firmly declared that there would be neither trade nor talks with Pakistan.
He asserted that any discussions would solely revolve around Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He warned that if Pakistan continued exporting terrorists, it would face economic ruin. He reiterated that India would not allow Pakistan access to its rightful share of water and that playing with Indian blood would come at a steep cost. “This resolve is India’s commitment, one that no force in the world can shake”, he stressed.
The Prime Minister also spoke on the development done by his government since 2014. “In order to make India developed, huge effort going on to build modern infrastructure in country. Today, India modernising its train network and Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, Namo Bharat trains reflect new speed and progress,” PM Modi said.
“India’s roads, trains, stations and airports should be modern and work has been done at unprecedented pace in last 11 years for this. India is now investing six times more in infrastructure development compared to previous years, a progress that has captured global attention”, remarked the Prime Minister, pointing out iconic infrastructure projects across the country, citing the remarkable Chenab Bridge in the north, the Sela Tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh, and the Bogibeel Bridge in Assam in the east. In western India, he noted the Atal Setu in Mumbai, while in the south, he highlighted the Pamban Bridge, India’s first of its kind.
“We are modernising more than 1,300 stations and more than 100 of these Amrit Bharat stations are ready today,” he added. He remarked that nearly 70 routes now operate Vande Bharat trains, bringing modern rail connectivity to remote regions. He further pointed out the significant infrastructure advancements over the past 11 years, including the construction of hundreds of road overbridges and underbridges, as well as the laying of over 34,000 kilometers of new railway tracks.

At least 26 people were killed in the gruesome terror attack in Pahalgam, following which India launched Operation Sindoor. The Indian Armed Forces destroyed at least nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a part of Operation Sindoor.
Following the Operation, tensions escalated between India and Pakistan for a few days. However, the neighbours opted for a ceasefire following mediation by US President Donald Trump.
