District Police Jammu achieved a major breakthrough in its initiative against motor vehicle lifters when Police Station Janipur arrested several persons involved in MV thefts and recovered stolen vehicles from their possession. Reports revealed that police party of Police Station Janipur led by SHO Janipur, Inspector Harmohinder Singh had initiated a widespread search for motor vehicle lifters. On the basis of different leads, a number of suspects were rounded up and the following recoveries were made which included one Passion Pro motorcycle with registration no. JK02BC-1203, one Scooty Activa 5G with registration no. JK02CF-4884, one motorcycle Pulsar 150 with registration no. JK02BA-6279 and one Bullet with Chassis No. E3U3K5C0HH385411 were recovered from their possession. Arrested accused have been identified as Tufail Hussain, S/o Mohd Sharif, R/o Mahore, Reasi A/P Sec. 07 Upper Roop Nagar, Jammu in relation to FIR No. 52/2018 U/S 379/RPC, Kunal Manhas, S/o Karnail Singh, R/o Mandleek Nagar, Paloura, Jammu and Ashish Sharma, S/o Lekh Raj, R/o Prem Nagar, Doda A/P Barnai, Jammu in relation to FIR No. 64/2019 U/S 379/2019 and Amir Khan, S/o Nazir Ahmed, R/o Kamal Nagar, Bantalab, Jammu; Sourav Sariya, S/o Bodhraj R/o H No. 57 Gali No. 02 Lakker Mandi, Janipur, Jammu and Rishab Kalotra, S/o Jia Lal R/o Nardani Raipur Jammu in relation to FIR No. 68/2019 U/S 379/RPC.
