Director Mohit Suri had recently announced his next, a thriller starring Aditya Roy Kapur. Soon after the announcement, reports were rife that both Kriti Sanon and Disha Patani were approached to play the lead opposite the actor. However, both the actress apparently rejected the offer.
According to reports, Kriti Sanon had verbally given her nod to the film when she was first approached for the thriller flick. However, later she reportedly opted out of the film as she signed ‘Housefull 4’ opposite Akshay Kumar.
Later there was news that Mohit approached Disha Patani for the same but she too reportedly declined the offer as she wants to concentrate on her big-budget South film ‘Sanghamitra’. The film is touted to be a love triangle between a girl and two boys. According to reports, the makers are searching for the second lead of the film and once it gets finalised they will announce the film. The untitled project is expected to roll out in the next few months.
Sanjay Dutt, in the recent past, has been in news for the upcoming biopic on him, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Ranbir Kapoor as Dutt.
Meanwhile, if reports are anything to go by, Sanjay will soon be seen in a film with Sooraj Pancholi. Dutt and Sooraj will allegedly be playing father and son in the remake of the 2010 Telugu blockbuster, ‘Prasthanam’. Deva Katta, who helmed the original, is most likely to direct the remake as well.
According to reports, Dutt will not only feature in the film but will also bankroll it. Sanju allegedly asked the team to approach Sooraj to play his on-screen son and the latter, who liked the story, grabbed the opportunity immediately. Reports suggest that the role is an intense one.
Well, it sure would be interesting to see Sanjay and Sooraj team up on-screen, isn’t it?
Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu were showered with praises for their powerful performances in Shoojit Sircar’s National Award-winning film ‘Pink’. If rumours doing the rounds are true then the powerhouses of talent will come together yet again for a crime thriller to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
For the Ghosh directorial tentatively titled ‘Badla’, Taapsee is reported to have signed the project, while Amitabh is yet to sign the dotted line. The film will reportedly be a crime thriller and is expected to go on floors in June.
According to reports, Taapsee managed to create a lasting impact on Big B after she delivered a 13-page scene in just one take while filming their courtroom drama.
Meanwhile, Amitabh is awaiting the release of Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’ with Rishi Kapoor, while Taapsee is currently busy shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyaan’ with Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal.
