Earlier this year Ajay Devgn produced a Marathi film titled ‘Aapla Manus’ starring Nana Patekar in the lead role. The film had received a very good response from the critics and the audience. Soon after the film’s release, it was reported that Ashutosh Gowariker had acquired the Hindi remake rights of the film. Earlier there was news that Kareena Kapoor Khan might star in the Hindi remake of the film. However, the actress had soon denied all such rumours.
Now according to a report by an entertainment portal, Sonakshi Sinha has been roped to play role in the movie. A source close to the portal revealed that Sonakshi Sinha has been approached for the same. The source even revealed that last week Gowariker had even held a special screening of the film for ‘Noor’ actress. However official announcements about the same are yet to be made.
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha is lined up with projects like Karan Johar’s multi-starrer ‘Kalank’, ‘Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi’ and ‘Dabangg 3’.
Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film post ‘Mukkabaaz’ is titled ‘Manmarziyaan’. The film that has shot most of its schedule in Kashmir features Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead.
It’s after almost two years that Abhishek Bachchan has faced a camera. The actor, who is quite active on social media, took to his Instagram account to share a throwback picture from the sets on ‘Manmarziyaan’ which hasn’t yet the theatres. In the picture, director Anurag can be seen directing him.
The actor captioned the post as, “#throwbackthursday on the sets of #Manmarziyaan with @anuragkashyap10 major missing happening. #TakeTwo ??: @khamkhaphotoartist”
Even earlier has shared his thoughts on being a part of ‘Manmarziyaan’. Abhishek had earlier tweeted: “It’s been just over two years since I faced a film camera — A new journey, a new film begins today. Need your good wishes and blessings. ‘Manmarziyaan’.”
And even a day prior to that, the actor had shared a photograph of the film’s script and captioned it: “Almost time”. Its a proven fact that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the jodi of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone make up the perfect trio who have delivered one after the other three consecutive blockbusters including ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’. However, the reports suggest that the filmmaker who has signed a three-film deal with the two is not casting any of them in his next. Bhansali is reportedly making a film on the life of poet Sahir Ludhianvi for which names of actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Salman Khan have been considered. But until there is any confirmation from the man himself, keep watching this space for more. For the record, Deepika Padukone had confirmed not being part of his next in a report some time ago. Ajay Devgn is all set to unite with filmmaker Aneez Bazmee almost two decades after ‘Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha’ for the upcoming film ‘Sade Saati’.
