Mrunal Thakur’s path from television to the big screen demonstrates her talent, determination, and next-door-girl charm. Her memorable performances in films like as Sita Ramam, Super 30, Hi Nanna, Jersey, and many others have cemented her place in fans hearts and demonstrated her flexibility as an actor. During her recent interview on Audible’s The Longest Interview podcast, the actress admitted that she once fought with producers for a role.Speaking about her upcoming film Pooja Meri Jaan, she shared, “There is one film, Pooja Meri Jaan that I have done, it is yet to be released. But that film is something that I wanted to do, this is who I am, and this is what had happened to me. So, I fought with the producers because I found out someone else was supposed to play this character.”She added, “When I found out this film was being made, I fought for that role – I gave multiple auditions and screen tests. I had to literally beg for it. We shot it 2 years ago, and it should hopefully be released this year. I remember it was the last day of shooting for ‘Sita Ramam’ and I had to take a flight the next morning for a screen test.”On the work front, Mrunal Thankur who recently delivered a power cameo in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, penned a gratitude note for her role and also raved about the performances delivered by Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Kamal Hasan.
