To promote the Kashmiri language amongst the community children, today Nagrai Literary Forum, an NGO working for the Kashmiri culture and languages organized a Kashmiri language promotion program here in Swaraswati Niketan Kendra in Purkhoo migrant camp wherein they held language quiz competition in two age groups senior and junior, where the students up to the class 6th were placed in junior group and up to 8th in the senior group , the participating students were given a questioners to fill appropriate kashmiri language words in given sentences and Paras. The winners in the senior group of the quiz competition Bhumi Bhat, Shrishti Pandita and Shilpa Raina fetched 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranks respectively whereas in Junior level Muskan Kaul, Ariyen Khatri and Bhoomika Bhat shared 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank in the order.
Later a short duration kashmiri language workshop was also held wherein the students were given tips to pronounce particular words and how to use them in different sentences in their daily lives. Parents of the students were also present on this occasion.
The program is conducted under the overall supervision of chairman of the organization ML Pandita with coordination of PL Swadeshi, President, Prem Nath Prem, Gen Secretary and Kundan Paras, vice president of the forum, TN Vishwas, RL Tashan, Bharat Bhushan Raina, senior members. Naveen Pandita was the event organizer.
