Continuing the planned enforcement efforts to ensure compliance with traffic laws and safety standards, today i.e on 21.04.2025, the Team RTO Jammu comprising of ARTO Tara Mani Sharma, MVI S. Jasbir Singh and MVI Surinder Kumar under the direction of Transport Commissioner JKUT Vishesh Paul Mahajan and able guidance of RTO Jammu S. Jasmeet Singh laid down special naka near Presentation Convent School Gandhinagar Jammu to restrict the overloading of school going children and to obey the traffic rules by the driver’s.
Nearly 52 vehicles carrying school going children were checked out of which 18 were fined for various offences. During driver number of vehicles are halted thereby their drivers made aware of traffic rules and warned against overloading of children in future and if found committed with the same offence their vehicles will be seized.
Through this press release It is also requested that parents not send their wards in overloaded school buses / Vans.
Today morning also naka was laid down in Bishnah town where nearly 16 violators were booked for committing various offences. Total 34 vehicles challaned today with expected amount Rs 68500 to be realised.
