Standing upto its moto of “Hamesa awaam ke saath” and strengthening the affinity and assistance to the poor and needy ones of the region, the Indian Army provided warm clothing and bedding to ladies of Nari Niketan, Mendhar in District Poonch (J&K) under Sadbhavana. Nari Niketan, Mendhar houses 50 women of nearby villages.
During the routine interaction by Army with villagers and management committee, a request for warm clothing and bedding facilities for ladies was received. Indian Army assisted by providing warm clothing and bedding to ladies of village Nari Niketan. A total of 87 ladies attended the event. The villagers and management committee thanked the Indian Army for their efforts and admired such gesture as encouraging.
