After playing lead roles, Natasha Doshi will be next seen in a special number, Jaataro Jaatara, in Kalyanram’s film, Entha Manchivaadavuraa, directed by Satish Vegesna. Admitting that she was initially apprehensive about taking up the project, the actress says “I was approached for a special number earlier too, but turned it down fearing that I might be typecast.” However, she says she took this one up “Since it’s a folksy number set in the Godavari region, purely a desi number showcasing the typical festive mood in a village.” “What more, it’s Kalyanram!”, she adds. “This is not a typical special number incorporated for commercial elements, there’s more to the song. I’ll be seen sporting half saris and jigging,” says the trained classical dancer. Shooting for the number in soaring temperatures was challenging. “I even shot for certain scenes of the song barefooted in the hot sand,” she recalls. “But I’m glad the song has come out quite beautifully.” Pointing out that her earlier film with Balakrishna (Jaya Simha) had a festive release, she said this one was set to hit the screens at Sankranti.
