Mr Kuldeep Sharma, National Vice President, National Institute of Public Cooperation & Child Development, Government of India, today has an extensive tour of Akhnoor block and met with several deputations besides conducted public meetings with the representatives of the concerned areas.

During tour to his block, he was accorded welcome on several places and people of the locality narrated their pains and pangs to him. He was accompanied by Rakesh Sharma and Gobind Ram. In his series of meetings, people complained about the poor supply of water, power and bad conditions of streets in the villages. In villages like Daskal, Gandrawan, Tanda and others the people are having much anger against the state and center governments for ignoring the people of far flung villages. Questioning the scheme of Back to Village run by Government of India, the people said that villages have no proper power and water supply and other facilities like good education and streets then how can the government expect about coming back to villages. They said that government must put serious efforts for ‘Back to Villages’ if they really want that people should come back to their native villages. They said that people want to come back to villages but the complete neglect wreaked by the government of India to villages are forcing people to desert the villages.

Mr Purab Singh ex-Naib Sarpanch, Nelam Kumari Panch, Capt Jagdish Singh, Hans Raj Panch, Sikander Lal and Bodh Raj told him that people of block Akhnoor are living miserable life as people have no facility in the said areas. He said villagers are forced to leave the villages of block Akhnoor to save the future of their children and so there is much migration.

While speaking in meeting Mr Kuldeep Sharma assured that he will take up all the issues with concerned authorities to get solution to the problems of the villages of block Akhnoor. He asked the people to be vigilant for their rights and duty. He said that life in village is much better then city areas. He asked the youth to involve themselves in sports and other activities to improve their talents.
