National Pollution Control Day observed at Health and Wellness Centre Kudwal, Arnia under the able guidance of Block Medical Officer Bishnah Dr. Ghansham Singh and the event organized by Dr. Gyaneshwar Sharma.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gyaneshwar Sharma said every breath we take depends on the health of our environment, but pollution is making it harder for our planet to thrive. National Pollution Control Day, observed December 2nd, reminds us to take action against pollution. It also pays tribute to those who lost their lives in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in 1984. This year, let’s make a choosing cleaner and greener ways of living. Together, we can create a safer, healthier future for everyone.
Dr. Gyaneshwar Sharma observed that National Pollution Control Day holds immense significance in raising awareness about the detrimental effects of pollution on our health, ecosystems, and overall well-being. It prompts individuals, communities, and governments to reflect on the need for sustainable practices and stringent measures to curb pollution levels. Pollution today is a growing concern for the world. Decades after the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, pollution remains a global concern affecting air, water, and soil, said Dr. Gyaneshwar Sharma .
Dr. Gyaneshwar Sharma further said that rapid industrialization, urbanization, and increased human activities have intensified the challenges. Climate change, loss of biodiversity, and adverse health effects are some of the consequences we face due to pollution. Individuals play a crucial role in pollution control. Simple lifestyle changes, such as reducing plastic usage, conserving energy, and practicing responsible waste disposal, can collectively make a significant impact. National Pollution Control Day encourages citizens to take responsibility for their actions and contribute to building a cleaner and healthier environment, claimed Dr. Gyaneshwar Sharma.

Observance of the national pollution control day is very important given the fact that pollution every day is increasing at an unprecedented rate. Therefore, it is necessary to control pollution and it is not the Government’s duty; we should also participate and make the environment clean and live disease-free. A clean environment helps people to do their tasks in a better way and live life happily, added Dr. Gyaneshwar Sharma.
