As we all know that the whole world is going through in a grave crisis and we the Jammuities have been locked down for our healthy life. In this situation of crisis, Natrang Jammu took an initiative to come out with a ‘Quarantine Theatre Festival’ featuring plays of different directors on its youtube channel ‘Natrang Jammu’. This was informed by Natrang Director Balwant Thakur in a video conferencing with the council of member of Natrang. The festival was unveiled today with the presentation of Balwant Thakur’s Internationally acclaimed dogri play Ghumayee which was demanded by the public on the social media platforms.
Sharing his views, Balwant Thakur, Director Natrang who is currently in Johannesburg shares that In these challenging times, I am happy that Natrang has endeavoured to organize a festival of it’s best of the plays for the theatre lovers sitting in the entire length and breadth of the world. This will not only connect us with the audiences world over but will also be a righteous occasion to promote our language and Culture Internationally through our highly acclaimed plays. I am not only sure but confident that this initiative of Natrang Jammu will receive overwhelming response and appreciation.
While sitting here in South Africa I will also contribute my bit in promoting this initiative in African continent. I wish this Festival a huge success.
