Navratra Festival: Devotional Song Competition enters day 2

The All India Devotional Song Competition entered second day here today at Yog Ashram Complex.
Chief General Manager NHPC Salal, Himanshu Shekhar and Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib were the chief guests on the occasion.
In the preliminary round of the competition, Raksha Shamra from Chandigarh bagged the first position while the second position was secured by Sahil from Samba and Lalit Bhardwaj from Jammu and Yogesh from Chandigarh shared the third position.
The winners were rewarded with cash prizes of Rs 10000, Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively.
The performances were adjudged by a panel of experts in music including popular singer Amrinder Bobby, Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma and Dr CL Verma.
Amrinder Bobby, later, enthralled the audience with his melodious performance.
The proceedings of the competition were conducted by Chairman of the competition, Rakesh Wazir.
The former winners of the competition also presented special performances during the event. The live telecast of the event is also available on Shradha Mh One daily at 9 pm. The Grand finale of the All India Devotional Song Competition will be held on October 7 and the winners will be awarded with gold amounting Rs. 3 lakh and a recording contract with Venus Records & Tapes limited.
Likewise, the runner ups will get gold worth Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50 thousand respectively.
The All India Devotional Song Competition is being organized by SMVD Shrine Board and Department of Tourism, J&K Bank and Shraddha mh one with active support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Surya Milk, Tiwari Super Speciality Hospital Farokhabad, Pure Roots Herbal, Nidesh Builders Pvt. Ltd. Jammu, Divinity, 92.7 Big FM, Yog Ashram Trust, district administration Reasi and the locals.
Those present on the occasion were SDM Katra, Ashok Kumar, Assistant Director Tourism Katra, Umesh Shan, Tehsildar Katra, Sunil Sharma, Yog Acharya Swami Yoganand Ji Maharaj, Shyam Lal Kesar, Virendra Kesar and Prabhat Singh.
