JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla today promised to formulate a policy for the regularization of temporary and contractual employees across various sectors; and also promised to safeguarding land laws and employment rights, emphasizing the need to review all decisions made without the approval of the people.Addressing a election meeting in Ward-73 Bhour Camp organized by JKPCC General Secretary Amrit Bali and also Upper Gadigarh, Shomali Mohalla, RS Pura Ward 4&5, Khamb RS Pura, Bhalla said that paramedical staff in associated hospitals and GMC, casual laborers, daily wage workers, CIC operators, contractual employees, home guards, and rehbar-e-khel (temporary sports coaches or physical education teachers) would be regularized as soon as the Congress is elected to power in J&K. “This broad spectrum of workers has been a significant part of the state’s workforce, often working under precarious conditions without the benefits and security that come with permanent employment,” he said.
Bhalla appealed to the voters of J&K to exercise their franchise in favour of the alliance candidates so that the party could fulfill its poll promises and bring the State back on the path of peace and prosperity, and inclusive development.
He claimed BJP Govt as a “complete failure”, saying the government proven to be a policy and governance “nightmare” for J&K people.”All self-marketed myths of party stood exposed as government has turned out to be a complete failure that stood on an ever-mounting pyre of broken promises and U-turns.
Bhalla said from 2005 to 2014, BJP propaganda machinery wanted us to believe that they were the only magical solution to all vexed political and economic problems that others had only tried to solve in right earnest. Today, these myths about them stand shattered, Bhalla added.”Not only have they broken every single political promise that they had made to garner votes, but their government has also proven to be a policy and governance nightmare for the state. He alleged that BJP used emotive slogans to exploit the sentiments of the people and “ditched them at the first sight of power”.
“Their tenure was unarguably the most opportunistic U-turn in the history of J&K and this proved to be the final nemesis of the party,” Bhalla said.
Terming Indian National Congress (INC) as a movement to establish a new system of justice and equality, Bhalla claimed that his party has emerged as genuine and credible voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir through its convictions and visionary policies. He said that it was matter of satisfaction that Congress, has emerged as strong political force in country as well as a credible voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhalla observed Government miserably failed to live up to the expectations of the people. There is a strong resentment among the people against this government as it has not fulfilled its promises made at the time of Assembly elections. There is anger among people. BJP played with the sentiments of the people who voted them to power. People were not happy with their policies and the government proved to be a failure. He maintained that Congress’s agenda of the peace and development was again seen positively welcomed as a serious state-wide political force with credibility and established credentials in governance and political acumen.

Accusing the BJP of bartering away the pride and honor of people of Jammu region to satisfy its lust for power, Bhalla appealed Jammuites to oppose, expose and depose the BJP’s juggernaut for its sheer opportunism. “ Parliament Election results have encouraged our cadres and boosted their morale to face the Assembly elections with full might, as our vote bank per assembly has seen a large step up, giving tough fight to BJP in its bastion since 2014,” he said, adding that vote bank of BJP has drastically come down as compared to steep rise of congress vote bank. “People gave 10 lakh votes in Jammu to Congress. Congress gained a lot in almost all assembly constituencies in Jammu region including lead in some constituencies indicating that people are ready for a change in Assembly elections” he said.

Bhalla said that Congress will emerge stronger and will be largest party in Jammu region for the formation of next government. He said that BJP Government at the Centre has not done any work in the public interest in J&K. The double engine Government of the BJP has harassed every section of society and has not done anything itself but has been appearing in advertisements claiming the works of the Congress Party as its own.He accused BJP of disregarding the aspirations of the people of J&K. He said that the ruling party had failed to inspire millions of the new UT. There is zero focus on development, the infrastructure is dying out and people are being denied basic civil amenities like power and water. He gave a clarion call to people of J&K and across the country to root out the BJP government which according to him is weakening the rural economy and hereditary trades and playing havoc with the farm sector, only to hand over agricultural sector to the Corporate sector.

Growing public disenchantment is a reflection of dismal performance of government on all the fronts” he said. He said, BJP exploited public sentiment, not only by whipping up passions on religion and region but also by making hollow promises about development.

Bhalla said BJP has brought miseries through unprecedented price rise for the poor, common man, educated unemployed and daily wagers and each section of society due to unprecedented price rise by huge taxations. The congress shall undo the wrongs of BJP govt and present dispensation and introduce the people friendly and various pro poor policies in Jammu & Kashmir thus giving major relief to the sufferings of poor, downtrodden and others. The people have little choice when it come to approach to a right person or the genuine office for the prompt disposal and hence it becomes the duty of the concerned person, especially the designated department official, to immediate provide relief to those who have approached the office with high hopes,” he said. He said that the Congress, as a public party, has built up robust grievances redressal mechanism at the party headquarters, where people approach with their issue.

Bhalla said “the ruling BJP was on a mission to disenfranchise J&K people with its selective policies and a coterie of federally-appointed officers, bereft of democratic bearings, calling the shots. The so-called Naya J&K of BJP, besides being low on the democratic mooring is also opposite to the idea of Naya J&K propounded by the Congress government,” Bhalla said, adding, “The downpour of fresh investments, job extravaganza, and infrastructure amplification is nowhere visible on the ground. Far from delivering on much-touted development promises, the people of J&K are continuously being denied their rights, and having a popular government in place is one of them.”
