The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) District Unit, headed by Sunil Verma, District President of Udhampur, facilitated the smooth voting of Kashmiri Pandit migrants at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur for 5th phase of Lok Sabha polls. Pertinent to mention here that Omar Abdullah, Party’s Vice President and NC Candidate is contesting from Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency. Rakesh Kumar and Mohd Sadeeq were appointed as Polling Agents. Ch Mohd Rashid, Distt Secretary, Akash Verma Senior youth leader, Om Parkash Block President, Pir Gulam Hussain City Block President and Vice President Udhampur, Prominent Kashmiri Pandit leader and NC leader Sanjay Pandita were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Verma raised serious concern over problems being faced by the people under the present administration, highlighting the lack of adequate infrastructure, economic opportunities and social development initiatives, which have disproportionately impacted the lives of the residents. He stressed the urgent need for responsive governance and proactive measures to alleviate the hardships endured by the community.
Verma reiterated that the people have high hoped from the National Conference, affirming that only the NC possesses the capability to comprehensively address the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the party’s legacy of inclusive governance, commitment to democratic principles, and dedication to serving the interests of all communities within the region.
