Th. Kashmira Singh Ex-MLC, State Vice President National Conference has condemned brutal lathicharge by the Kathua administration yesterday on the poor Schedule Caste people of Mahasha Biradari who were constructing a temple of their revered Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj at Kathua yesterday. This Biradari is being celebrating the Birthday of their Guru at this place for the last ten years at the same vacant land but now at the instance of some influential people the administration Kathua has dismantled their temple forcibly thus causing the great resentment in the general masses besides Scheduled Castes.
National Conference has appealed the Deputy Commissioner Kathua to allot the appropriate peace of this land to the temple so that they could fulfill their religious duties. There are some other political leaders who are alleged to have captured hundreds of govt. land in Kathua area but no action has been taken against them in the past. If District administration does not allot appropriate land to these Schedule Caste Biradari then National Conference shall launch a agitation on this issue forcefully.
