National Conference (NC) leaders and party workers today gathered at the party office in Udhampur to felicitate Sunil Verma, District President JKNC Udhampur East, on the formation of the NC Government in Jammu and Kashmir. The event was marked by enthusiasm and unity, reflecting the party’s commitment to bringing about positive change in the region.
During the programme, NC leaders expressed their anguish over the misuse of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), distribution of cash and liquor, and the use of government machinery by the BJP in Udhampur East Constituency during the recent Assembly polls. They condemned these tactics, calling for stricter measures to ensure fair elections in the future.
Addressing the gathering, Sunil Verma thanked the party workers for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to stand by the party cadre. He assured that under the NC Government, there would be a strong focus on equitable development across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The aim of National Conference is to ensure that every citizen, irrespective of their background, benefits from the progress and development initiatives that the NC Government will implement. The Party will be dedicated to the welfare of the people, and I assure you that no one will be left behind,” he stated.
The programme concluded with a pledge by the NC cadre to work tirelessly towards strengthening the party’s presence in Udhampur and beyond, reinforcing the message of unity and development across the Union Territory.
