Vikram Randhawa, MLA of Bahu Constituency, paid heartfelt tributes to Maharishi Valmiki Ji on the occasion of his Jayanti today. Speaking at a gathering to celebrate the revered sage, Randhawa highlighted the enduring legacy of Maharishi Valmiki and the significant contributions of the Valmiki community to society.
During his address, Randhawa praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his bold decision to abrogate Article 370, a move that has ensured equal rights for the Valmiki community in Jammu and Kashmir. “By removing Article 370, Prime Minister Modi has brought justice and equality to the Valmiki community, who can now enjoy the same rights and opportunities as every other citizen of India,” Randhawa said. “This decision has opened new doors for Valmiki families, giving their children access to education, jobs, and a brighter future.”
He acknowledged that, for decades, the Valmiki community had been denied basic rights, but under PM Modi’s leadership, they have finally received the recognition and respect they deserve. “The Modi Government’s commitment to uplift and empower the Valmiki community is truly commendable. It has restored their dignity and allowed them to live with pride,” he stated.
Randhawa assured the gathering that he would always stand by the Valmiki community and work tirelessly to address their concerns. “I am here for you, and I will continue to serve and support the Valmiki community in every way possible. Together, we will build a society where every person, irrespective of their background, can thrive and contribute to the growth of our region,” he added.
