NC pitches for early assembly polls in J&K

Strong pitching for early elections to Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly , national conference president Mr MK Yogi on Tuesday said ” People are yearning for a democratically elected popular government “, while addressing a press conference here this morning , adding that national conference alone can steer the state to peace and development with equitable opportunities of progress to all in the three regions of Jammu , Kashmir and ladakh.
National conference minority cell president Mr M. K Yogi, said history stands testimony to the fact that whenever situations arose wherein the people found themselves in a state helplessness national conference plunged in a big way and filled up the political vacuum .
He exhorted the functionaries at the grass roots level to identity problems and seek their urgent redressal.
National conference represents glorious ethos of Jammu and Kashmir , as it does not discriminate among the people on the basis of region, religion or caste, Mr Yogi said while emphasizing that spirit has to be maintained at all costs .
He exuded confidence that under the dynamic leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr Omar Abdullah , the party will meet the expectations and aspiration of the people with fortitude.
Mr Yogi that grass roots level workers have a pivotal role in shaping up the party and making it vibrant as envisioned by Sher-e-kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, who all life stood for Hindu, Muslim , Sikh itehad.
He said national conference is a symbol of political stability and continues to remain in the hearts of the people .He said the trust and confidence of the people will further rejuvenate it in the months and years to come.
Referring to condition of Kashmir pundits in various tenement colonies , jagti, purkhoo others , Mr Yogi said the basic facilities are still lacking and required to be improved, as the previous government headed by Mehbooba Mufti ignored their urges and aspirations .
He complimented the community for showing unprecedented resilience and braving various situations.
Later Mr yogi said that national conference will take up the problems of the migrants at appropriate forums and seek redressal.
