NDS Celebrates Krishan Janamashtmi

Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd.) in collaboration with Surya Milk Products organised a special multilingual cultural programme on the eve of Shri Krishan Janamashtami. Programme started with lightning of traditional lamp. Son of the soil Bhanu Partap Singh who has won Bronze medal in the recent Asian games and brought laurels to the state was conferred with ‘Duggar Gourav’ Award by NDS. Ganga Dhar Ji as also given ‘Van-Mitra’ Award for his contributions in the field of environment. Kuldeep Handoo, Chief Coach of India, WUSHU was also presented Appreciation Certificate.
Peer Ravi Nath Ji, President Satdarshan Sadhu Samaj J&K presided over the function whereas Mahant Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, Shri Radha Madhav Trust (Regd.) was the Chief Guest. Raj Kumar Gupta, President, Gaushalla J&K was Guest of Honur. Satish Gupta, M.D., Surya Milk Products was Special Invitee on the occasion whereas Rohit Chowdhary a social and RTI activist was special guest.
Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary of NDS conducted the proceedings in an impressive manner. Capt. Lalit Sharma IFS Convener NDS, Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, Advocate President, NDS and Padam Shri Dr.S.P.Varma Vice President Gandhi Global Family also shared the dias. Capt. Lalit Sharma IFS in his opening address highlighted the contributions of the Awardees in their respective field. He said Bhanu Partap Singh by clinching bronze medal in Asian Games have proved his mettle and iconicaly signified that the youth of the state has vast sports potential. He further stated that Lord Krishna has emphasises on personal deeds (Karmas) and said that Krishan Janamashtami emphasizes upon us for good karmas as the type of our Karmas shape our destiny.
Programme started with a short play on Lord Krishna and his role as a cow grazer by Vijay Mala and his group of artists and gave a strong message of pastoral profession.
A brief music programme on Lord Krishna was presented by singers Rahul Raina and Dr. Chanchal Sharma, Organising Secretary Nami Dogri Sanstha Rahul Raina and Amit. The instrumentalists comprise Kamal Sharma on Dholak, Joginder Pal Tabla, Rajat on Synth, Rakesh Khanna on Flute. Rohit Choudhary in his address emphasized upon harnessing youth energy for national pursuits. Raj Kumar Gupta said that cows are no burden on society. They can sustain themselves and can feed others as well but require only caring and helping hand. Mahant Rajesh Sharma emphasized to accord priority and attention to the cattle health. He said Lord Krishna’s love for cows is a testimony of the co-existence of man and animals together for a vibrant society.
Satish Gupta said preparation of milk products, hygienic packing, providing sale outlets are of paramount importance for providing fresh and quality milk products at doorstep and this is in exact consonance with the pastoral philosophy of Lord Krishana.
Peer Ravi Nath ji complimented NDS and its president Advocate Harish Kaila for his tireless efforts for the cause of Dogri language and Duggar culture. He said that ‘Updesh’ of Lord Krishna in Mahabharata has remained relevant in all items and there is dire need to follow his teachings in today’s turbulent society. He said your deeds always follow you and one has to face these whether good or bad. Hence one should remain vigilant about his actions and deeds.
Yash Pal Yash extended vote of thanks to the elders, youth and rural folk who participated in the function. Dogra Harish Kaila reiterated Sanstha’s resolve to work tirelessly and uninterruptedly to work for the cause of Dogri language and Duggar Culture.
