Incharge BJP HQ, J&K and former minister, Priya Sethi today emphasized that there is dire need to intensify the mobile vaccination campaign across the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory in containing the spread of corona virus.
Priya Sethi was speaking to media persons during her visit to a vaccination centre here at Jammu east today where she had gone to take stock of the problems being faced by the people.
Former Minister Priya Sethi ,JMC Corporator Sh. Anil Masoom,Jammu Dist Gen Sec Sh. Kuldeep Kandhari & other leaders visited vaccination centre at Center Basic School Jammu and interacted with citizens and enquired about their wellbeing.
Priya Sethi also asked people if there was any suggestion from them or anything more that could be done for them either at official level or at the social level.
On the instruction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that not only the vaccination drive has to be carried out on a fast track, but ease of immunisation must also be ensured She added.
Former Minister further added that the world’s biggest vaccination drive has been undertaken in India to ensure protection of its 130 crore population and Prime Minister Modi Ji is keen that it should be carried out with least inconvenience to any citizen.
Priya Sethi also appeal people not to believe on romours and heartly appeal young people of 18 plus to go for vaccination and then only India will win this battle against COVID-19.
She appealed administration that there is dire need to enhance the number of mobile vaccination centres across the Jammu and Kashmir for early vaccination of 18 plus.
She demanded that mobile vaccination centres be established in adequate numbers so that these are area specific covering the people within a reasonable range especially in the current situation when passenger transport is not available at all.
She further appealed the administration to address this issue at the earliest by increasing the number of vaccination centres, as people are facing hardship in reaching the vaccination centres allotted far away from their areas of residence.
The former Minister urged the Administration for intensifying mobile vaccination campaign throughout the Union Territory so that the people as well as youth not having Smart Phones should be vaccinated timely and those who cant take use of internet too can be vaccinated
She emphasized that before the Covid-19 third wave there is dire need to vaccinate most of the population so that it may not affect on the lives of common masses.
She also added that youth must understand their responsibility in making the country robust and therefore should come forward and convince others also to get inoculated for achieving hundred per cent coverage of the vaccine
The former minister appealed to all the eligible persons to take vaccine shots as soon as possible and make the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory first COVID free.
She also welcomed the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to recall the retired or pre-maturely retired Medical personnel especially the experts to augment the efforts to deal with the pandemic situation. She appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory administration to seek the services of medical experts who have superannuated besides retired medical officers so that Covid crisis can be handled in a better way.
