In the today’s press conference Sh. Neeraj Dewan General Secretary J&K and Ladakh (PTU) demanded CBI inquiry in mining scam in J&K. He said that the Govt. should go in depth of allegations imposed by Ex-MLC BJP Sh. Vikram Singh Randhawa on his party leaders, officers of Geology and mining department and Div. Com Jammu etc. and inquiry should be done by an Independent authority i.e. CBI. He said that it is appreciable that the Govt. has constituted a committee for the enquiry but it would be much better if the enquiry will be done by CBI as the people started conversation regarding the constitution of the committee on social media where majority of people have shown their concern and doubt over the enquiry which is going to be done by the Committee. Most of the people commented that the members of the committee are associated with the person whom Sh. Randhawa has imposed the allegation. Our only concern is the justice should be done and people of J&K may not suffer more. From last two years the people has suffered a lot. They purchased the building material on price hike of more than 5 times above. It is very strange that if mining was restricted then how the work of ring road and other development works of the Jammu & Kashmir Govt was in progress. Why Govt. Department bears loss of huge amount whether Covid-19 was the reason behind this are something else which must be find out and truth can only be come out if CBI probe will be ordered.
