Neha Sharma’s father Ajit Sharma is currently the Congress Legislative Party leader in Bihar Legislative Assembly. And ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in Bihar, she held a mega roadshow in support of him in Bhagalpur in the last week of April. A video of the two of them riding a Thar as they campaigned from Sonavarsa to Naugachhia went viral.It further gave rise to chatter on social media with many speculating her political debut. Now, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Neha finally breaks her silence on the same and spills the beans on her political aspirations. “I was campaigning for my dad and not for myself. So, does this mean that she’s seriously considering contesting the next Lok Sabha elections in 2029? The Crook actor shrugs and says, “You will know in five years (smiles). I’m dropping little hints.”On the work front, Neha will next be seen in the third season of Illegal, which is slated to release on JioCinema on May 29. She will be returning to play the role of a lawyer in the show themed on power, politics and betrayal. Bollywood, often, has also been called a bed of power play and politics. Sharing her thoughts on the same, Neha remarks, “I feel it’s everywhere and not just in our industry.”
