NGOs playing vital role in fight against pandemic: Nitish

India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fought the most successful battle against coronavirus in the world, and with the beginning of the vaccination drive from June 21, the country has taken the fight against the pandemic to a final stage.
This was stated by Nitish Mahajan, State Executive Committee member, BJP, J&K, while inspecting the sanitization drive held in Trikuta Nagar here today.
Mahajan said that the BJP Government at the Centre stands committed to ensure safety and security of people especially in terms of health in the prevailing pandemic conditions. He asked people to get vaccinated to prevent the onset of the third wave of Covid-19. He also asked party cadres to remain in touch with local administration and render all possible help to people in this hour of crisis. He also asked them to monitor shortfalls on various counts especially faced by poor and under-privileged sections and apprise the administration and party on a regular basis.
While appreciating the role of NGO and social organisations for carrying out sanitization drive in fight against Covid-19, Mahajan said that the aim was to make the areas bacteria-free and elementally clean all types of microbes and viruses that can infect the human body and also to contain viral spread besides cleaning the mess created all around the areas for public good.
The senior BJP leader said that keeping in view the seriousness of the pandemic situation there is a dire need to ramp up the initiatives towards keeping the homes and surrounding environment clean. He stressed upon the need to intensify the sanitation drives as it would help in preventing the spread of the dreaded Virus.
Asserting that in the present situation there is a need for putting extra effort to keep the environs clean; Mahajan assured the people of the ward of full support and providing every required facility in this hour of crisis.
He also appealed to the people to adhere to Covid-19 SOPs and guidelines and take utmost prevent measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus and in addition observe Social Distancing whenever you step outside in public and wear face masks to stay safe. He urged them to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour as all the initiatives will cumulatively help in breaking the deadly infection chain at the earliest.
