Urgent meeting of JKNPP Secretariat was held at Jammu Party Headquarters which after a long discussion declared that the NPP Foundation Day celebration shall be held at Jammu Party Headquarters. Earlier NPP celebration was fixed at Parade Ground Jammu but it had to be changed under the present circumstances created by Corona Virus spread throughout the world. Jammu & Kashmir has been under its scare mongering shadow.
Those who participated in the urgent and special meeting of the Panthers Party Secretariat included its Chairman, Shri Harsh Dev Singh, President, Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, Vice Presidents, Ch. Mohd. Iqbal, Masood Andrabi, General Secretary, Ms. Anita Thakur and others. Prof. Bhim Singh was also present as Special Invitee.
The Secretariat in a message to the Working Committee of the Party, District Presidents has called on the leadership to hold a brief get-together at NPP Headquarters Jammu in commemoration of Party’s 39th Foundation Day on 23rd March.
- The Secretariat decided that under the present circumstances created by the terror of Corona Virus, the election for the Chairman and the President of NPP shall be postponed till August, 2020.
- It was also decided to launch a membership campaign of Panthers Party by issuing fresh membership at all districts level with three months gap to the District Committees to enroll fresh members.
- That the present Secretariat and the District Committees shall continue till election for the Chairman and the President is held according to the Constitution of the Party.
- The President shall hold the meeting of all the Districts for the District Presidents and constitute fresh committees if it is require under the circumstances and need.
- That the all other committees including Young Panthers, NPSU, Panthers Trade Union, Kisan Union, Ex-Servicemen Union shall be constituted/reorganized by the President in consultation with Chairman within three months.
- It was decided that all Vice Presidents who are retiring or are not physically fit to hold office shall be honoured and the vacancies shall be filled in accordance with the Constitution.
