Dr. Rashid Choudhary, Member AICC and Spokesperson of Congress party flanked by Mr. Kewal Singh, DCC President Reasi and Mr. Amit Sharma AYC President Reasi described the NYAY Scheme (Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme) announced by Congress President Sh. Rahul Gandhi as historic and a game changer for the poor and downtrodden (25 Crore people) of the Country. Dr. Rashid added that NYAY Scheme will act as a stimulus to the Indian economy and will bring the desired change in the socio-economic structure of the nation which will help in making India a super-power. He further said that this scheme will undo the “Anaya” committed by the radical steps of Modi Government like demonetization and unsuccessful launch of GST. Dr.Choudhary lambasted the BJP for promoting false propaganda against this historic scheme and termed it as the biggest initiative of independent India to eradicate poverty and do justice with millions of poor and downtrodden of the country. He said that BJP is afraid of losing the upcoming General Elections and propaganda against such a noble initiative shows sheer frustration of BJP. Describing the NYAY, Dr. Rashid revealed that as per the scheme, poorest 20 percent of the families in the country would be guaranteed Rs 72000 a year and this amount will be deposited directly in the bank account of the women head of the family. “More than 5 crore families and around 20 percent households will be benefitted by this historic step. NYAY Scheme has been supported and endorsed by top economists of the country and is a great way of ensuring empowerment of womenfolk.
The Congress leader said that after successfully Implementing MGNREGA, Right to Food, Right to Information, Right to Education and waving of farmers loan etc. during the term of UPA 1 and UPA 2, the coming government of Congress Party under the leadership Sh. Rahul Gandhi, will successfully implement this mega initiative for the poor and downtrodden people of our country, which will not only eradicate poverty from the country but also will decrease the growing gap between rich and the poor of the Country.
Dr. Rashid appealed the people of the state to vote for collation and Congress Candidates in the upcoming Lok saba elections 2019. Mr. Yashpal Verma, Ex Chairman MC Reasi, Mr, Munchi Ram Salaria Senior Congress Leader, Satya Parmar, Mahila Congress President Reasi, Bimla Salathaia, Rahina Anjum, Koushaliya Devi all congress leaders were also present at the on the occasion.
