Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are the biggest stars of today’s generation. The two have impressed the audience a lot and even have a huge fan following. But surprisingly Varun’s ‘October’ co-star, Banita Sandhu, revealed that she had no clue about Varun and Alia before shooting for the film.
While speaking to a daily, Banita revealed that her mother watched a lot of Bollywood movies featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai so her idea of Bollywood is from that generation. She stated that she didn’t know anything about Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. She further said that she wanted to become an actress at a very young age after watching Bollywood movies. But she thought she wouldn’t be able to enter Bollywood because she didn’t know Hindi. But she further mentioned that she gave a nod to the project because of the great team and great man helming the project.
‘October’ revolves around the story of Dan (Varun) and his unconditional love for Shiuli (Banita). The film has hit the screens today and has received a good response from the critics.
Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu ‘October’ is all set for its release. The film has created a good amount of buzz among the audiences and they are eagerly waiting to watch the film. ‘October’ also marks the debut of Banita Sandhu.
Banita hails from a third generation British Indian family who was raised in Newport. She eventually moved to London to pursue her degree in English Literature from King’s College. While speaking to a portal, she revealed how she prepared to get the perfect language for ‘October’.
Banita mentioned that she took a private lesson for learning Hindi, but as she hailed from London it was becoming difficult for her to pick the language. She even once called up Shoojit and informed that things are not working out for her. It was then when the director came up with an idea of chatting on Skype back and forth every single day with Banita.
This trick eventually worked out and with every day Banita gained more and more confidence and expressed her intention of dubbing for the film in her own voice.
‘October’ is slated to hit the screens on 13 April 2018.
