One day Awareness-cum-demonstration programme held at Institute of Management Public Administration & Rural Development Sidhra Jammu (IMPA &RD), which was organized by Civil Defence Jammu under the supervision of Dy.SP Shashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu. In the awareness Camp Participants were make aware about the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Fire fighting, Flood Rescue and other Emergency rescue methods of Rescue alongwith demonstration by the Civil Defence Instructors. On the occasion, Smt. Shashi Thakur, Dy.SP, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu, Shri Paramjeet Kumar, Chief Warden, have also delivered the valuable lectures on the topics of Disaster Management and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization.
Speaking on the occasion Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta Hon’ble Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation said that they will asked all the Councillors of Jammu City to organize such awareness programme in their respective areas/Wards to aware the people and also appreciated the role of Civil Defence organization. Dr. Reva Sharma Director Training and Dr. Manju Kapoor were also thanked Dy.SP Shashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu and her team for organizing such important awareness-cum-demonstration programme. Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta, Hon’ble Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation has also advised the Participants to become good human beings to serve the society by joining such organization. At least 35 President/Vice President of Local Bodies and councillors and other training staff of the institute were attended the awareness programme.
