Senior BJP leader and former Minister Priya Sethi today strongly advocated for the implementation of the “One Nation, One Election” initiative, stating that it will bring stability, reduce election-related expenditures, and ensure seamless governance across the country.
The senior BJP leader was speaking at a programme organized here today, where she highlighted the significance of this transformative reform, particularly for Jammu and Kashmir. In the programme, MLA Bahu Constituency, Vikram Randhawa, Naresh Singh and many others marked their presence.
Priya Sethi asserted that holding simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies will not only streamline the electoral process but also prevent frequent disruptions in governance.
“Frequent elections put a financial strain on the economy and divert the government’s attention from developmental work. ‘One Nation, One Election’ is a visionary step towards efficiency and stability, ensuring that governments focus on policy-making and long-term planning rather than being in a perpetual election mode,” she said.
