NEW DELHI, JUNE 19
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is all set to launch its flagship smartphone Oppo Find X today at an event in Paris. The company has also fixed an event to be held on July 12 in India where it is expected to launch the handset. But ahead of its official launch, TheVerge has revealed all the key specifications of the handset in a hands-on report.
From the images posted by The Verge, the Oppo Find X skips the notch — that has become the trend of the year — but instead features a hidden motorized camera system that slides up when the camera app is opened. The slider houses the dual rear cameras on the rear side and 3D facial scanning system and the front camera on the front side. The images show a shiny metal back Purple colour variant of the Oppo Find X and doesn’t reveal all the colour options of the handset.
Oppo is claiming that the camera opens in just 0.5 seconds.
It features a curved design body same as the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. The combination of hideaway camera system and a curved screen lets the handset achieve screen-to-body-ratio of 92.25 percent. “The Find X will be available to order in China starting today, and it should cost less than other comparably equipped Android smartphones,” says The Verge report.\
