OTT platform required to boost film industry

Welcoming the new film policy launched by LG Manoj Sinha to revivie the film industry in Jammu and Kashmir, producer and actor Tariq Khan believe that new film policy will generate employment among youngsters of Jammu and Kashmir. Youth is talented, have technical knowledge and will enthuse to start their own venuture, said Khan
While addressing the press conference, Tariq Khan thanked LG Manoj Sinha for introducing film policy in Jammu and Kashmir which would be launched earlier to boost regional film industry.
To give flip to the regional film industry, he requested the LG Manoj Sigh to open first OTT platform in JK UT.
Tariq khan (Tariq Khan and Rahat Kazmi fame)while speaking enlightened the gathering about the struggles and the success stories of their journey.
Originally the residents of J&K. They represented the country and their own land at the largest global platforms, having their films streaming on Netflix, Amazon,Voot select, MX player,Airtel Xtreme, Jio cinema n Shemaroo. Presently two of their films Lines and Lihaaf,are streaming in flying colours with IMDb ratings 8 on Voot select, besides winning international awards in different film festivals.
He expressed his gratitude towards the artists and the technicians of j&k, who believed in them and became a part of this journey. When asked about the film policy which was recently announced, he thanked and welcomed the initiative of the Govt and honble Lieutenant Governor Sh Manoj Sinha,and said that some amendments should be induced to help and prioritise the regional cinema and filmmakers.
The others who spoke on the occasion were Rajesh Khajuria Cinematographer/Director),Pankaj Khajuria (Producer/Director),Kusum Tikoo(Actor),Saki Shah (Producer).They all hailed the efforts of the honble Lt Governor of J&K ,with a hope that the changes and amendments in the policy will be induced with the immediate effect.
The other renowned persons of the fraternity present were Vikram Sharma,Shammi Malhotra, Lalita Tapasvi,Rani bhàn ,Brij Mohan,Irfan Choudhary,Pawan Bharti, Prashant Singh ,Mushtaq khan, Karthika Rampal ,Rajiv Singh,Anil kumar and others.
The conference ended at a positive note of upcoming plans for growth of cinema by making an effort of getting film fraternity and the people at helm of affairs at one platform.
