Pallanwala Club shall be playing against Allah Club in the final of the boys’ event in the two-day 30th Jammu District Volleyball Championship underway at Volleyball courts of MA Stadium, here at 3.30 pm tomorrow.
Earlier, in the semifinals, Pallanwala Club outplayed Trikuta Club in straight sets of 25-21, 25-26 and Allah Club beat Trikuta Warriors Club 2-0 (25-20, 25-22).
Preliminary Round: Allah Club beat RS Pura Club 2-0 (25-14, 25-20); Trikuta Warrier Club beat Pragwal Club 2-1 (25-18, 19-2, 15-12); Trikuta Club beat Pinto Club Akhnoor 2-1 (23-25, 25-19, 15-10).
Similarly, in girls section, Army Children Club shall take on Trikuta Club Jammu at 2:30 pm tomorrow.
In the semifinal, decided today, Army Children Club defeated Trikuta Warriors 2-0 (21-15, 25-13). Preliminary Round: Trikuta Club beat Youth for Nation Club 2-0 (25-18, 25-22); Army Children Club beat Pinto Club Akhnoor 2-0 (25-13, 25-18). The technical penal comprised Mulkh Raj (VFI qualified Refree), Anil Sharma, OS Gill (coach), Charanjit Singh and Jagjit Singh.
Earlier, the competition declared open by Commandant IRP 18th, Rajnish Pran amidst interaction with the participating teams and the officials. In all, eight teams in boys and six in girls section are taking part in this event.
Also present were Sidharth Daluja, Manmeet Singh and Aman HS Gill, Kuldip Magotra, RC Sharma, Puran Singh, Rajeev Dogra and OS Gill.
