Panthers Supremo, Prof. Bhim Singh, Contesting Candidate for Jammu – Poonch Parliamentary Constituency sought personal explanation from former successive MPs and Legislators of Congress, NC and BJP as to what they have done for the upliftment of poor, neglected farmers and other weaker sections of the society from all communities in 20 Assembly Constituencies right from 1951 to this date. During campaign tour of the 20 Constituencies spread to far-flung border and hilly segments, Panthers leaders found pathetic condition of Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Gujjar – Bakerwals, Gaddies, Scheduled Caste communities, still craving for basic infrastructure of life to live and progress.
Panthers reiterate their demand to provide alternate dwelling accommodation to farmers and others living along border line, when there is ceasefire violation from Pakistan rangers. Prof. Bhim Singh expressed deep anguish over the irresponsible behaviour of Govt. of Union Home Ministry for not sticking to its own commitment of allotting 5 marlas of land to the border dwellers for which announcements were repeatedly made by all Tom, Dick and Harry in BJP & Govt., just for political appeasement of public at large to gain power.
Lok Sabha Candidate, Prof. Bhim Singh accompanied by senior team of Panthers addressed workers/public meetings right up to Indo-Pak Border villages from Marh, Domana, Nagrota, Pargwal, Camp Gole Gujral etc. and appealed for Vote in favour of the Panthers Candidate. They assured the common masses that Panthers Party is committed to seek justice and development to every house-hold in the region for initiating economic development projects, to provide employment to skilled, un-skilled, educated and semi-educated youth, engineers, doctors and farm experts.
Bhim Singh stressed upon the administration to ensure reach of irrigation water tributaries to last point in the border villages which are facing scarcity of water at the time of sowing due to non-availability of adequate irrigation facilities. The villagers face great hardship for arranging water to quench the thrust of their cattle in the Kandi areas, neither politicians nor functionaries ever care to look to this problem, Bhim added. Panthers asked the voters to see the 4 decades work of Bhim Singh for the people of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh who did it without any personal interest, to seek vote from them. Panthers said that it is Bhim Singh who got stay from Supreme Court of India to a Black Bill, named Resettlement Bill No. 9 passed by the State Assembly with majority of National Conference, Congress & BJP in sleeping mode. Had the said draconian bill not been got stayed by Bhim Singh, hundreds of families, now settled on evacuee land and houses would have been up-rooted and thrown on the streets, to fend for themselves. But people who are benefitted by several other such achievements of Bhim Singh, behave like Ostrich before the might of rich and corrupt politicians.
Others who were in the team include Anita Thakur, Sushil Khana, Surinder Chouhan, Rajiv Mahajan, Nirmal Kishore, Rampaul Sharma, Neeraj Gupta, Anil Rakwal, Dilawar Khan, S. Amandeep Singh, S. Pawandeep Singh & Kuldeep Kumar.
