Parliamentary Committee on Energy, headed by Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chairperson, accompanied by 08 MPs visited Salal Power Station on 01.11.2018 for On- the Spot study on Energy.
The Committee constituted Sh. M. Chandrakashi, Dr. Arun Kumar, Sh. Ravindra Kumar Pandey, Sh. M.B.Rajesh, Sh. Devendra Singh Bhole, Sh. T.K.S. Elangovan, Sh. Shamsher Singh Manhas, Sh. S.Muthukaruppan as members of the Committee. Sh. Anirudha Kumar, Joint Secretary (Power), GOI and Sh. Balraj Joshi, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC, Sh. N.K.Jain, Director Personnel, Sh. Janardhan Choudhary, Director (Technical) and Sh. Chander Mohan, Executive Director, Regional Office Jammu also visited Salal Power Station.
The visiting Dignitaries were welcomed by Sh. Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager, Salal Power Station and other Senior Officers from NHPC and Civil Administration, District Reasi.
The dignitaries accompanied by Sh. Shekhar General Manager, Salal visited various components of the Power Station viz Dam and Power House.
At Power House, the visiting dignitaries were apprised with Construction, Operation and Maintenance Activities being taken up by NHPC Limited across the country through Power Point Presentation by Sh. Balraj Joshi, CMD, NHPC Limited.
Sh. Shekhar expressed happiness about Salal Power Station being chosen by the Parliamentary Committee for on-the-spot study on Energy.
The Parliamentary Committee expressed satisfaction over the running and maintenance of Salal Power Station.
