Pathania for immediate overhaul of Rown-Ram Nagar and other Roads

Mr. Ranbir Singh Pathania, Spokesperson J&K BJP, while addressing a series of pubic interactions as well as monthly meeting of party cadres, called for immediate refurbishment of Rown-Ramnagar road as this road acts as lifeline for lacs of people and with every passing day its condition is deteriorating and turning into a vicious death-trap.
Mr.Pathania reminded the Governor-led administration of the funds committed by the Government on the floor of Assembly during debate on a Call Attention Motion moved by him. Although an year and a half has expired since the making of commitment, tangible action is yet to emerge on the ground.
Pertinently Mr. Pathania also reminded that he had raised Roun-Ramnagar road issue vociferously during the then Chief Minister-led DDB meeting at Udhampur for conducting an high level enquiry to spell out the reasons for not adhering to the realignment and refurbishment plan of this road.
A clear and categoric decision had been reached at in the DDB setting tone for formulation of an inquiry committee vis-a-vis a commitment to provide requisite funds for repair and refurbishment of this road.
And fact remains that neither inquiry was conducted conscientiously nor funds were provided for refurbishment of the road.
Mr. Pathania reiterated demand for high level judicial probe in bungling of funds on said road. As to why a road confirming to engineering parameters was not built up considering an ample availability of funds? Secondly,
Why the central line prescribed for purpose was violated as the length of the road was not shortened as per the specifications in the bidding document? And What is the credibility or durability of due road when it has been damaged upto 20 points?
Mr Pathania informed the people that he has already raised the demand for four laning of Roun-Ramnagar road.He said that there is urgent need for construction of circular road from Udhampur-Ramnagar-Dudu-Basantgarh-Chenani-Udhampur to harness the vast tourism potential of the area.He said that funds under CRF will be demanded for taking up this mega infrastructure project.
Mr Rajinder Sharma, President Ramnagar BJP, complimented Mr Pathania for his characteristic, effective style of working whereby he had got completed work on Tawi Bridge on Roun-Ramnagar road which had been languishing since more than a decade. He also complimented his efforts in completing Nallah Mallein bridge, Satyan bridge, start of macadamisation work on Dallian-Tagan road, Kela road, Sulan road, Bari-Laddana road, Kalwanta- Jofar road, Plassan-Rang road, Plassan-Bainsta road, Bainsta-Pinger road, Gaghote-Kheen road,Ramnagar Dalsar road, Chowki-Ramnagar road, Chowki-Katwalt road, Goondian- Sunetar road, Sunetar Dhanwalt road, Marta-Dheeran road, Surni, Nallah Mallein roads and roads up to Panjian, Garh Samna Banj, Palnoo, Pathwar, Jansal, Chani, Bhati, Barigarh, Sartari, Tajoor, Peuni, and a score other habitations.
Mr Pathania further called upon the PWD authorities to take up the repair and refurbishment of Ramnagar city roads, Ramnagar-Gundhian, Degree College road and Badakh-Bodoi, Kirmoo-Plassan, Bhughtrain-Hansa, Khurkhal, Tagan-Bari roads which require immediate focus of the department.
Among others who spoke on the occasion included Sham Lal Mandal Pardhan, Makhan Lal, Master Gopal, Shounku Kharka, Kartar Chand, Tilak Raj, Shounku Ram, Jagmohan Singh, Sunil Sharma, Pappu Ram, Rameez Sheikh, Pranav Shastri, Makhan Bandral, Pankaj Kumar and others.
