Jammu:- Mr. Ranbir Singh Pathania, Spokesperson J&K BJP, today joined a massive protest against the government being organized by Kisan Welfare Sabha (Regd) led by its state President, Mr. Angrez Singh, while coming out in full support after a detailed memorandum presented by Kisan Welfare Sabha to the Governor (through Tehsildar Ramnagar). While addressing the protest, Mr. Pathania underscored the need for immediate disbursement of pending installments under ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Yojana’, and clearing backlog of oldage/widow pension. He pitch forked the need and essence for sanctioning pending pension cases which are pending since more than a decade. It is unfortunate that the applicants from various far flung areas come every half a month just to come to know that their cases are still pending. He further lamented that the farmers community is always at the receiving end and is not receiving the due benefits of the various centrally sponsored schemes meant for the community. Lack of proper awareness and response from government Quarters have been biggest hiccups.
He further called for a greater administrative initiative for ensuring true benefits of scheme for fulfilling the slogan of ‘Last man in the last row’, He further said that policies and programmes of Narendra Modi led government are primarily focused on improving the well-being of the poor and down trodden. The present government is committed to the “Empowerment of poor’ along with protection by various social security schemes but it is equally important for the administration to implement those schemes in each far flung area and make it successful.
He also called for immediate ordering of a de-novo survey for BPL/PHH households and those under AYUSHMAN Bharat scheme. He lamented that many deserving cases had been left resulting in unrest and uproar amongst people as truly deserving persons are still bereft of afore said schemes.
Mr. Angrez Singh, President Kisan Welfare Sabha also lashed out at the local Tehsil and district administration for perpetuating a reign of mis-governance in the area. He further said that the poor villagers are being harassed in government offices without any justified reason and the idea of accountability and public service are least found in public offices. He also accused local administration of not following mandatory provisions of Public Services guarantee act which has been formulated by state legislature but the people for whom the law has been brought are still high and dry.
The protest continued till late evening with the protestors resolving that they will come again with a massive protest on August 5th, if the demands are not met with in the meantime.
